Minister sees Russian grain harvest at more than 116 mln tns
MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s grain harvest can exceed an earlier forecast of 116 million tonnes in 2016, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachyov told PRIME on Tuesday.
“Weather conditions allow me to forecast that we will harvest up to 116 million tonnes, maybe more,” Tkachyov said.
Grain exports have been below the last year’s level, the minister said.
“I think that we will see a breakthrough at the end of November or early December,” he said.
